Embedded Mental Health Clinic
The embedded clinic provides confidential clinical care inside the command — assessment, counseling, and treatment for stress, sleep, mood, relationships, and more. Care is delivered by licensed providers who know the operating environment.
- Referral-based service. We are primarily a referral-based clinic through the Marine-Centered Medical Home (MCMH). Command referrals and self-referrals are also accepted.
- Self-referrals welcome. You do not need permission from your chain of command — call or walk in to get started.
- Bring your ID. First visit is usually a brief intake to understand what you need.
- Urgent concern? Tell staff it's urgent, or use the 24/7 lines on the External Resources page.
How to get an appointment
The fastest path is a referral from your Marine-Centered Medical Home (MCMH) provider. Your primary care team can send a referral directly to the embedded clinic. Command referrals submitted through your chain of command are also accepted, as are self-referrals — call 910-449-9411 or walk in during clinic hours.

On confidentiality
Clinical care is protected health information and is not shared with your command except in narrow situations required by policy — such as a risk to safety or specific duty requirements. If you want fully confidential, off-the-record support, the chaplain and the lines on the External Resources page are good options.
